        雨か涙か……ということであれば、streamでよろしいのではないでしょうか。かつてアメリカの大統領予備選挙でエドマンド・マスキーという人が、人身攻撃的な選挙報道に抗議しているうち涙を流したとして、男一匹泣き顔見せてはならないとするアメリカ人の平均的男性像からはずれ、予備選に敗退したことがありました。マスキーは雪の中で、顔に当たった雪が解けて流れただけだと弁明に努めましたが、すでに遅し。

        Mandalaさんのdetective句又bloody liarへのお直し、すっきりしていいですね。なるほどと思いました。胸が透きます。破顔一笑(^_^)。

        もう一つの、

        tear or rain?
        streaming on his cheak

        のstreamingの語も何とか活かして頂きましたが、この句についてはそもそもstreamingの選択でよかったのか、ここがふっきれません。「滂沱の涙」ではなく、あやつり人形の頬にうっすらとにじむなみだ(ひょっとすると誰も気がついてない)・・・の感じを出したかったのでしたが。そして折からの雨模様にはぐらかされるところに、マリオネットの含羞も伝えるという・・・。英語力の追い付かないややこしいことを考えていました(笑)。

        最後の方、「真っ赤な舌は見せぬ嘘つき」と日本語ならしたいところですが、英語でこれをいうならどうなるか。鍋つかみをはめて草花の感触を探ろうとしているみたいな私の英語です。辞書の言葉と血肉になった言葉との違いということでしょうか。
